Regan Hutchins, Voice Teacher

Meet our VOICE TEACHER, Regan! She started singing in 3rd grade and was classically trained by Marlene Smith, of Hazleton. In high school, she received many awards, sang competitively, and performed in many school and community productions. In 2000, she attended Chatham University, Pittsburgh, as a Music major (vocal performance track) on the prestigious Minna Kauffman Rudd scholarship. She holds B.A. & M.M. degrees from Penn State University, where her studies focused on both journalism and music - vocal performance. She was also a member of the Penn State Singing Lions. Regan returned to the stage as an adult in Artists in Motion’s productions of Beauty and the Beast (2023) as Mrs. Potts, and CATS (2024) as Grizabella. You can see her next in Sweeney Todd, this October at Reading Civic Theatre. She enjoys singing and teaching everything from musical theatre, to opera, to pop music. Regan is the mom of 4 kids and lives in Cressona. She continues to better herself by completing various online trainings as well as IVA certifications.

Tom Hutchins, Drum Teacher

Meet our DRUM TEACHER, Tom! He started drumming in 1996. He was taught by Dave Kendall at DeMelfi School of Music in Hazleton. He has been a member of multiple local and regional bands that have performed and recorded demos and EP’s. He has taught drum lessons for both DeMelfi School of Music in Hazleton and Rock School in Shoemakersville. Tom is an audio engineer with a degree in Music Recording. He worked for ASP Audio as an engineer for numerous regional and national performers. Tom loves to play all genres, including hard rock, heavy metal, progressive rock, blues, pop, hip hop, funk, 60’s-70’s rock and pop, world music from Africa, Latin America, and Brazil. He is proficient in drum kit and hand drums, such as: bongos, congas, djembes, etc. Tom is the dad of 4 kids and lives in Cressona.
